Jachtwerf de Groot, a leading Dutch motor yacht builder of the distinctive Pikmeerkruiser, is celebrating its 60-year anniversary this year. Three generations of the De Groot family have contributed with passion and craftsmanship to the growth and evolution of the brand.

Since its establishment in 1963 by Henk de Groot, the brand has established itself as one of the most respected names in the boating industry. Over the years, a total of 600 Pikmeerkruisers have been built. The yachts are built in lengths of 38 to 50 feet, with various designs such as an open cockpit, aft cabin, or flybridge. The 60-year anniversary was celebrated grandly where over 350 guests made the effort to visit and tour the yard, being shown the most current developments.
The luxury motor yachts of Pikmeerkruiser, which require at least eight months to build, are largely handcrafted at the yard in Grou. Each ship is unique, as customers have the opportunity to customize their Pikmeerkruiser entirely to their liking. The entire production process takes place in different departments of the company, from the construction of the hull to the fully finished yacht. A team of thirteen specialists handles all relevant steel, wood, and painting works as well as technical and electrical installations.
